Human Rights Management Charter of KOMIR(Korea Mine Rehabilitation and Mineral Resources Corporation)
We seek to protect the human rights of all employees and stakeholders those related throughout all management activities, respecting and practicing international human rights norms as a public corporation, which nurtures and supports systematic mine damage management and mineral resource industry while contributing to the promotion of the local and national economies and resource security.
Therefore, we declare the Human Rights Management Charter of KOMIR as follows and assure its practice as the standards for action and value judgment that all employees should observe.
- We support and respect international standards and norms that support values such as human rights, labor, the environment, and anti-corruption, and contribute to protecting human rights and creating social values through continuous checks and improvements.
- We do not discriminate against stakeholders including executives and employees on the basis of race, religion, disability, gender, place of birth, political opinion, etc.
- We ensure freedom of association and collective bargaining to protect the rights of all employees.
- We do not allow forced labor or child labor in any form.
- We create safe and hygienic work environments to guarantee industrial safety.
- We strive for mutual development with our partner companies and support their cooperation in human rights management practices.
- We respect and protect the human rights of the local people of the business activity area.
- We obey the relevant domestic and foreign environmental laws and do our best to preserve the environment for a healthy and pleasant life for the people and future generations.
- We try not to threaten the safety of the people when performing our work, protect personal information collected during work, and guarantee stakeholders' right to access information.
- We provide swift and appropriate rescue measures for human rights infringements during the project execution and spare no effort to prevent it in advance.
