Research & Development
Technological cooperation infrastructure
We strengthen technology cooperation infrastructure with universities and research institutions worldwide and implement technology development projects to enhance technological competitiveness.
Securing core technology and technical support are needed to provide public services more systematically throughout the entire mining industry cycle, such as support for resources development of the private sector and the execution of mine damage prevention projects.
Technological Cooperation Network
We plan and identify businesses for cooperation in the full cycle of the mining industry and new business areas and strengthen the technology cooperation network with related organizations and the private companies both domestic and overseas for cooperation and information sharing.
- International and domestic syposiums and forums
- Journal publication
- Technology standardization
- Science competition for university students
Technology Cooperation Projects
We strive to expand the technology base and spread technological achievements by cooperating with other organizations and performing contract business using technologies and know-how that we have developed.
- Area: research on waste recycling, soil contamination monitoring, research on graphite, survey on large-scale underground structures
Technology Development
Development of mine damage prevention technology
We develop and use field-customized practical technologies for mines with damage at home and abroad, such as the treatment of water pollution, soil contamination, forest restoration, and management of effluent and ground subsidence in mine areas. The technologies developed are applied to the mine damage prevention projects to enhance project execution quality and secure economic feasibility.
- Development of Mine Drainage Active Treatment
- Development of Dewatering System
- Development of Underground Safety Survey
- Development of Soil Remediation Technology
- Developement of Forest ReclamationTechnology
- Tailings Dam Monitoring System
- Dust Monitoring System
Resource Development/Technology Development
We plan, develop, and commercialize technology development tasks, which secure core technologies to develop resources, strengthen the technological prowess of the resource industry, and enhance added values of minerals. In addition, we execute resource treatment technology services and digital mining to advance domestic mining technology.

Test Analysis, Evaluation
For the assessment of environmental mine impact to support local mine societies, it is important to provide reliable analysis and information on assessment factors related to masses such as soil, water, air, and minerals. We serve professional and reliable analysis results based on analysis technology and test quality management systems accredited by Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme or KOLAS.
The Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme, or KOLAS, is an official accreditation policy where an appropriate organization under laws or deemed to have international standards evaluate and accredit an agency to have specific testing capabilities and systems required for quality control by conducting a review with professionally certified inspector.
Mine Impact Analysis
To provide primary data to assess environmental hazard and site contamination by mine activity
Coal Quality Test
To provide quality data of coal that satisfy the coal grade standards that can be distributed.
Mineral analysis and measurement
To provide primary data required to assess mineral extractability, economic viability and development feasibility.
