Madagascar Ambatovy Nickel Mine (2006~)

Ambatovy is a world class lateritic nickel mine located in Moramanga, Madagascar with its plant located in Toamasina, Madagascar. KOMIR, being the representative of the Korean Consortium, holds 45.82% interest. The mine is with its own HPAL refinery to produce annually 48,000 tonnes of nickel and 4,000 tonnes of cobalt with its remaining mine life over 30 years. It is responsible for supplying high quality, LME Class 1 nickel, which is one of the key minerals in the battery sector.

Panama Cobre Panama Copper Mine (2009~)

Cobre Panama, a copper mine located in Panama, is operated by a Canadian mining company FQM and KOMIR currently owns 10% of the interest. The copper mine has been producing copper concentrate with a capacity of 350,000 tonnes copper equivalent per year since 2019 and it is estimated to produce over 30 years.

Australia Wallarah 2 Coal Project (1995~)

Wallarah 2 coal project is a proposed underground mining operation in New South Wales (NSW), Australia with 82.25% interest owned by KOMIR. The project is fully-permitted green field project which received the EPBC approval from the federal government and mining lease from the NSW Government.
